It does this by replacing the preferences file for the dock which is stored in Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist, with other .plist files that you have saved aside previously. Once it has copied the new dock file in place, it restarts the Dock to make the changes take effect. ---------------------------------------- System Requirements [2.0] ds only requires that you have access to the terminal in OS X. It has been tested only on OS X "Jaguar" 10.2.5, but theoretically should work with any version of OS X. It should be noted however that due to the possibility of Apple storing the preference files for the Dock differently between OS X versions, unexpected things might happen if you upgrade your OS and continue to try to use the old profiles with ds. If you screw up your system using this tool, I am not responsibile. Sorry. ---------------------------------------- Command Line Options [3.0] Usage: ds -b backup current dock as default ds -s profile backup current dock as "profile" ds -r restore default ds profile restore "profile" to the dock ds -d profile delete "profile" ds -l list profiles ---------------------------------------- License [4.0] Legal Mumbo-Jumbo: No warranty is neither expressed nor implied for any damages which may occur during the proper or improper use of this program and its associated files.
