LlamaSlate is an app for your iPhone
or iPod Touch that helps you find
shots in your footage, and synchronize
multiple cameras.
It keeps track of Scene and Take numbers,
and generates a 3-color code unique for each
take to help you find takes later. LlamaSlate
produces an audio and visual cue to help align
clips in the editing process.
Using LlamaSlate
When you first run LlamaSlate, you will be greeted
with the main screen, as seen below.
The top section shows it's Scene 37. The bottom
shows that it's Take 12. The center shows a
three color code associated with the current take
number. In this case, 12 is
red-orange-blue.
When you tap the "Start Take" button, the screen will
clear, and an associated color sequence will flash.
Once the take has "started", the screen will look
like the following image.
Tapping the "End Take" button will produce a similar
sequence of flashes, and increment the take number.
You can tap either one multiple times, to re-run the
sequence.
When you want to adjust the settings, simply tap on the
"i" button in the lower right corner of the screen.
The screen will flip over to the settings side.
Here you can set the Scene and Take numbers. You can
also disable the auto-incrementing of the take number,
if that better suits your needs.
Purchase
LlamaSlate is available through the iTunes App Store
