Hamfest 2001

Images taken with a small little piece of crud camera. They're a bit contrasty. The images of stuff i've bought were taken on my front lawn on a towel. The items were purchased at the hamfest... although not the Moog. I just got it back today and took the pictures of it along with everything else.

I'm not sure why this number seemed siginifcant to me, but it did. (192638)
An ingenious use of Macintosh IIci cases... it's a shame, really. those were nice machines... Oh well.
An Apple-III looking Hewlett-Packard PC that the previous owner decided to name "Flynn" apparantly. (In the movie Tron, Flynn had an Apple III, perhaps that's where the name came from for this beastie?)
(HP 9836)
My Moog Opus 3. I finally got it back from Friar. ;) It will soon be lent out to JennyLee. It's a fun little machine (analog polyphonic synthesizer.) (no.. this wasn't at the hamfest, but i took the pictures today...) [ .2. .3. ]
Epson PX 8 with Multi Unit 64
Bought this one today. I saw it last year (probably by the same guy) for $40, but i got it from him for $15 along with the following IXO thingy. I've wanted one of these ever since i first saw it in the DAK catalog. (remember that catalog? :D
(Epson PX 8)
Lid closed up.
Dig that retro microcassette drive! :D
IXO TC-200
Some sort of acoustically-coupled modem/TTY thingy. It needs a Polaroid lithium battery pack, which i'll eventually get from somewhere. The battery compartment of the Coupler was loaded with AA batteries that had exploded years ago. *sigh*
Laser PC3
Apparantly made to be a companion to a desktop machine. It has all sorts of word processing and organizer tools... similar in function to a Tandy 100, but with a much smaller screen. ($15)
Printer for a Sharp PC-1211
A printer for my Sharp PC-1211 (AKA TRS-80 Pocket Computer 1). It's probably not working (no ribbon or paper either), but it's nice to have anyway. (shown with the PC-1211 installed)
($2)
Tandy/TRS-80 Pocket Computer 3
(with printer/cassette interface) I figure, I should try to get all of the Pocket Computers, since i'm on a roll here. hehe. This works pretty well, although I've not tried the printer yet.
($35 with the Sinclair below)
PC-3 removed from the printer/cassette interface.
Sinclair ZX81
Yay! A wonderful little Z-80 powered doorwedge that works! Cute little box, eh? They were $50 when new, and you can get kits for them now for $99. This was a steal at $35 with the above PC-3. :D (although i think this one is PAL, rather than NTSC... oops.) [ .2. ]
